The last day of January has finally arrived & I must toot my own horn a bit & say that I am blown away with the success of ROOTED. Today is the last day of registration & tomorrow begins the first assignment although the fun as already begun in our private community. I have had 4 one on one calls so far with a portion of the participants. The power that exists within the realm of what we are creating together is unstoppable. I can feel it culminating into this huge cloud of awesomeness. Yes that is a word. I say it is because that is exactly how it feels. Awe-some-ness. Since I have 3 more whole days until the Chinese New Year begins I am going to really think about what it is I want to happen in the month of February. I think the results are going to be mind blowing. I know January's were! What are you creating for February? What do you want more of? What do you want less of? & as Danielle LaPorte so famously likes to phrase it - what do you desire? 4 Comments Have You Created Your 2011 Dream Plan? 01/30/2011
This morning I came face to face with an internal conversation that I have been graciously ignoring for the past week or more. It was introduced to me mid-January that it was 'okay' if we (as a society) felt like we were behind in starting out the new year because REALLY, January was best used as a planning month. A time to get all of our ducks in a row & come up with a strategy for how we would best spend our year. I love this idea. My confession: like most projects, I waited until the last minute to begin my execution. Sure I have taken this month to look at where I spend my time, not over work myself & try on what it looks like enjoy 'down time'. Mission accomplished. So now I have these one & a half days to create an action plan for what I want my 2011 to look like minus the work I am currently doing that I truly have no desire to do any longer. These are the questions to help me (& you) jump start our end of January 2011 Dream Plan.

Where Will You Be Five Years From Today? 01/27/2011
“You don’t have to take your life the way it comes to you. You can design your life to come to you the way you want it to.” –Dan Zadra You know those books that really shake you to the core? I started reading one this morning. It’s called “Where will you be five years from today?” “Live your live on purpose.” Did that send chills up your spine? It did mine. In the book, Dan lists things that people did within five years that we consider to be incredible. It really makes you think, if Michelangelo can paint the Sistine Chapel in just under five years, what can I do in five years if I get really clear about my desires? Allow yourself to be guided by your highest values. First I need to ask myself, what are my core values? I did an exercise when I first began my certification with Frame of Mind Coaching that had us narrow down our top ten values out of 50 or something like that. I don’t think I ever completed the exercise. I got down to the top ten, but I couldn’t put them in order – I couldn’t choose what was more important. So I tried again.
Even listing those five were difficult for me. But looking back at what I chose, taking a deep breath – it feels right for me. In ROOTED an eCourse, we do a values exercise similar to the one that I did during my coaches training. I think getting clear about your values is crucial to creating a solid foundation of the life you are creating. Join us in the course to find out more. What are your top five valued values? What Does Freedom Mean To You? 01/26/2011
“Freedom in general may be defined as the absence of obstacles to the realization of desires” -Bertrand Russell Mini Message One: I don’t know what it looks like to not overload myself. My entire life has been a sequence of ‘yes - I’ll take that on.’ Knowing good & well my commitments were past their brim of the ability to achieve success while multitasking. In the past few weeks I have taken it upon myself to be consciously aware of what I am putting on my plate at all times. Only saying yes to the things I know I have time for & also being okay with relaxing & doing nothing. The ironic thing, the thing I wish I would have taken into account a long time ago; is that the money is still there. In fact, it is more there now than it ever was before & I am not exhausted making it happen. The revelation: I can have balance & be wealthy on every level. Mini Message Two: Be sure to receive as much as you give. I know for me personally, the conversation of giving comes naturally. It is what we are ‘suppose’ to do. But when those moments creep on me when I feel like there is a lack of something in relationship or environment I have to stop & ask myself if I am actually open to receiving. Sometimes that wall comes up without me noticing. I can get so stuck in the story that I made up about someone not being generous with themselves, soon that is all I see. But when I remember to be open to receiving the abundance, love, joy, wealth is always there - waiting for me. Being open to receiving can look as simple as taking on the affirmation “My heart is open & I am ready to receive.” Also, be sure to visit my friend, Jo Anna's site to sign up for her 32 days of receiving. It's free & well worth your time. Mini Message Three: ROOTED is a group full of powerhouses. Yesterday I sent out the first bit of instruction to prepare the participants of ROOTED. Being that one of the sections of the course takes place in our private Facebook group, I had to round up their names, befriend them & add them. As I was looking at the list of members in the course, chills covered my skin. I know, or have some idea of who these women are through their online presence and WOW. Is this a group of powerhouses or what?! Everyone is so passionate about their life’s purpose & the possibility of discovering it for the first time or learning more about it. I can’t wait to see who else joins us this week and miracles that are going to take place over the next month! I am honored. PS. Be sure to stop by & check out the new site design - what do you think? How Can A Home Altar Help Me Manifest? 01/24/2011
Altars & shrines. The words alone can be creepy when the stereotypical definition is attached to them. Because of the meaning placed on these words, their design & symbolism are useless to you. It is false to say that altars are only used for religious worshiping purposes & shrines are only used when you are obsessed with someone you can’t have. On the contrary, altars & shrines can be used for many things. In fact, you might already have some located around your house & not even know it.
If you would like to know more about the variations of altars & their many purposes, you should read this great book, Altars: Bringing Sacred Shrines into Your Everyday Life. This wonderful read gives very clear descriptions of altars & their history. Denise Lynn also shares the symbolism behind many colors, stones, objects & smells. I hope this inspires you to create an altar in your home. Mine have done nothing but bring joy into my life. Here is post I wrote a little over a year ago about my altar at the time.
