Strutting Back to Dallas, Texas 08/09/2010
I don't know where to begin. I leave New York tonight at 8:30 p.m. and I am not so sure I am ready to leave. A more valuable option seems to be flying Brawn up here for a visit so I can explore the city more. As desirable as that sounds, it is not in the cards. I must bid farewell to the city I have so quickly fallen in love with and make way to place where the bedroom that is in desperate need of a coat of paint, waits. You know the feeling you get when you walk into a store and a really good song in playing? Suddenly you find yourself strutting down the isles to the beat, a smile on your face and more pep in your step then the day Obama became president. That is how New York is all the time. Whether the music is blaring from a speeding taxi, passing car or you are walking by a club or store that is calling you to come in with their enchanting tunes. You suddenly find yourself strutting down Broadway and feeling really great about it. You look around and everyone else is gliding to the same beat. It's really beautiful. I think I will take my strut home with me. Perhaps I will even start carrying around a boom box for extra effect. CommentsSarah 08/09/2010 1:37pm
